Active Names Sadistic 1 of 7 Challenging Rides for Advanced Climbers
In a recent post, Active’s Brian Kendall wrote “7 Challenging Rides for Advanced Climbers” and named the Sadistic Century as one of them. Our planning team has put together a great event for Saturday, August 20, 2016 with great food, chocolate milk, and free beer for returning riders!
Registration is now open on Active.com, at the current price of $55 for all rides. Please add a great t-shirt to your order before Aug 1. Please come ride with us and support our local food pantry and Mountain Bike group. We will have our local, newly crowned 24 Hour and 12 Hour record holder, Jessop Keene returning to lead the ride.
The Sadistic Century will take place in the hills and valleys surrounding Menomonie, WI. With over 30 climbs and an 8,819 foot elevation gain, this ride is both challenging and beautiful. Event distances include a full century (100 miles), a metric century (100 kilometers), and a half metric century (60 kilometers). The ride is fully supported, and a meal with free beer and soda will be provided to all participants at the finish.
