Free Lake Menomin Loop Ride for the Family

Lake Menomin Loop Ride – August 18, 2018 (with Sadistic Century)

Do you have family members who don’t want to ride the Sadistic Century, but would enjoy a family and kid-friendly biking experience instead, free?

We will host an 8.3 mile bike ride on Menomonie’s Lake Menomin Loop that same day. The Lake Menomin Loop ride will begin at the Dunn County Recreation Park, the same place Sadistic Century riders register for their ride.  Most of the ride is on bike trails segregated from automobile traffic, with a few stretches on the City-designated bike routes. We’ll have crossing guards at any points where roads would need to be crossed.

Halfway along the ride we’ll have a rest stop at Wakanda Park. There riders can find restroom facilities, a large children’s playground, and we’ll provide food and beverages.
The best part of all this is the ride is FREE! No advance registration is required. Show up and begin the ride by 9 a.m. Sag support will be available for any problems.

If interested, riders can purchase a meal from the Sadistic Century organizers at the end of the ride—the meal cost for Sadistic Century riders is included in their registration fee.
