Last year I had to cover registration and did not get to ride. My wife Kim has always managed the day-of registration team, but last year she was on Safari. The year before, 2022, I was not well trained for this challenging course, but I wanted to ride 100K with some friends. So, I jumped on my wife’s Specialized Carbon Creo E-bike. The ride was awesome. The bike is a mid-drive pedal assist to 27 mph and I rode in level one for most of the course. Batteries had no trouble with the distance and I survived keeping up with some great riders. We encourage experienced E-Bike riders to bring them to the event and enjoy the ride!
